Hackyard Build 2026 is a builder-focused hackathon where ideas become working products.

There is no fixed theme. You can build an AI agent, web or mobile application, developer tool, startup prototype, productivity tool, or solve a problem you've actually experienced.

You can participate with an idea, a problem, a skill, or an existing team.

The journey is simple:

IDEA → BUILD → TEST → SHOW

The goal is not to make the biggest presentation. Build the smallest version that works, test it, improve it, and show what you made.

Selected builders will come together for the physical build on 24–25 October 2026 at IIT Guwahati.

Hackyard Build 2026 is open-ended. You are free to choose the tools and technologies that best fit your project.

You may use:

• AI/ML models and APIs

• AI coding assistants

• Web technologies

• Mobile development frameworks

• Backend frameworks and APIs

• Databases

• Cloud platforms

• Open-source libraries

• No-code and low-code tools

• Developer tools

• Hardware and IoT technologies

Browser Use (YC W25)
Each of the 100 teams selected for the second round receives $100 in Browser Use credits.

Hackyard LLM Credits
Every selected team receives $100 in Hackyard LLM Credits.

XYZ Domain Foundation
The top 50 builders receive a one-year domain each through the XYZ Domain Foundation.

Participants are responsible for complying with the terms and licenses of the tools and services they use.

Start with something you have experienced.

Build something where AI acts, reasons, creates, or operates.

Build tools that change how people work, learn, create, or collaborate.

Find a problem around you and build a solution.

You don't need a category or assigned problem. If you think something should exist, build it.
